TV & Commercial Video Production in Dallas

Commercials for Dallas–Fort Worth businesses that get to the point and make the phone ring. TV spots, streaming ads and social ads, planned together and shot in one go.

Commercial video production

An ad has one job

A commercial isn’t a brand film and it isn’t a company overview. It has a few seconds to get noticed, say one clear thing, and tell people what to do next. Call. Visit. Book. If the viewer can’t repeat your offer after one watch, the spot didn’t work, no matter how good it looked.

So that’s where we start. Before we talk cameras, we talk about who you’re trying to reach, what you want them to do, and where the ad is going to run. Then we build the spot around that. We’re not here to overcomplicate things or blow smoke. We want you to end up with an ad you’re proud to put on air and that actually earns its airtime.

We’ve made 30-second TV commercials for Al Boenker Insurance and a how-to product commercial for Organic Rein. One is a spokeswoman in an insurance office, the other is a drain cleaner doing its job. Different products, same rule: one message, said clearly, with a reason to act.

What we make

Spots for every screen

TV commercials

:30 and :15 spots for broadcast and cable, written around one offer and one call to action.

Streaming & connected TV

The same spot, delivered for the streaming apps and smart TVs your customers actually watch.

YouTube ads

Pre-roll that earns the first five seconds, before the “Skip” button shows up.

Social video ads

Vertical and square cut-downs for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. For ongoing content, see social media video.

Product commercials

Show the product doing its job, up close and in plain English. More in product & explainer video.

Spokesperson spots

You, your team or a hired spokesperson on camera, coached so it sounds like a person and not a script.

One shoot, many cuts

Plan the :30, get the rest

Plan. We start with the 30-second version, because it forces the hard decisions: the hook, the offer, the last line. Then we map out the shorter cuts and the vertical versions before shoot day, so every shot we need is on the list.

Shoot. We roll in with pro cameras, good lighting and a clear plan, and we frame for wide screens and phones at the same time. Setup takes about an hour. After that, all you have to do is show up.

Cut. We edit the main spot first, work through a couple of rounds of revisions with you, then build the :15, the six-second bumper and the social versions from the approved cut. One shoot day, a whole campaign’s worth of ads.

Straight talk on cost

How much does a commercial cost?

Most production companies won’t answer this until the third call. We publish our rates instead. A half-day shoot is $1,500, a full day is $2,000, an assistant is $1,000, and editing is $150 an hour.

Here’s how that adds up. A 2-minute video typically takes about 6 hours of editing. A simple local spot shot in one location in a half day, with that much editing, comes to roughly $2,400. Go to a full day with an assistant and the same edit, and you’re around $3,900. Extra cut-downs are more editing hours, not more shoot days.

What pushes the number up: actors or voice talent, more than one location, licensed music, rented gear, and graphics or animation. What doesn’t come from us at all is airtime. That’s a separate media buy with the station or platform. If any of that is on the table, we’ll spell it out in the quote before anything gets booked. Planning a bigger ad budget? Our video production pricingpage walks through every line.

Commercial production FAQs

How much does a commercial cost to make?

Our rates are published: $1,500 for a half-day shoot, $2,000 for a full day, $1,000 for an assistant, and $150 an hour for editing. A simple spot shot in one location in a half day, with about 6 hours of editing, comes to roughly $2,400 ($1,500 + 6 × $150). A full day with an assistant and the same edit is about $3,900. Actors, voiceover, licensed music, rented gear or animation add to that, and we’ll quote it before anything is booked. See video production pricing.

Does the price include TV airtime?

No. Production is what it costs to make the spot. Airtime is a separate buy you pay to the station, cable provider or streaming platform. Tell us where the ad is going to run and we’ll make sure the files are ready for it.

What’s the difference between a :30 and a :15?

Length, and how much story fits. A 30-second spot has room for a setup, your offer and a clear call to action. A 15-second spot has room for one idea and your name. We usually plan the :30 first and build the shorter versions out of the same footage, so you’re not paying for a second shoot.

Can one shoot give us ads for TV, YouTube and social?

Yes, if we plan for it. We shoot with every version in mind: the full TV spot, shorter cut-downs, and vertical versions for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Each extra version is more editing time, not another shoot day, so it’s billed at our hourly editing rate.

Do you write the commercial, or do we?

Either works. Some businesses come in with a script and a clear idea. Others come in with an offer and a deadline. We can help with script development, and we’ll walk you through the concept before anyone steps in front of a camera.

How many rounds of revisions do we get?

After you see the first cut and give us your feedback, we work through a couple of rounds of revisions until the spot is right. Big changes to the concept after the shoot can mean more editing hours, so we settle the message up front.
